When I moved to Murfreesboro in 2003, people were scratching their heads over Murfreesboro having recently surpassed 100k...

We left in 2008 because we felt it was getting too crowded. It took half an hour to get across town. Ha! It's more like an hour now.

Its terrible, the growth is coming in much faster than our infrastructure can handle, while our income growth is falling way behind inflation, especially when it comes to the housing market. Hope at some point the population growth of the general Nashville area slows down enough were we can have at least a more neutral market. So tired of this IT city crap, and an extreme seller leaning market.

Agree on the "IT" city crap. Doesn't do one thing to make my life better.

Murfreesboro's still inexpensive compared to Frisco, Texas, where I currently reside. They're doing so much construction and huge corporations are relocating to this area that it's driven property values and costs insanely high. A starter home doesn't go for much less than $300K these days, and its not going to get any better any time soon.
